Victoria Veevers currently works for a global health organisation in Zambia as a technical adviser and nutrition lecturer; providing tertiary education in nutrition to build human resource capacity in the Zambian workforce. She gained a MSc Public Health Nutrition from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and is a registered nutritionist in both Zambia and the UK.
Over the last 6 years, Ms. Veevers has built up experience in community engagement, behaviour change, nutrition research and health worker education within the UK, Tanzania and Zambia. Principal Investigator of a Zambian Scaling Up Nutrition funded operations research project, training community health workers in growth monitoring and promotion at rural health centres that will inform National policy on the feasibility of introducing routine linear growth measures. WHO trained ‘trainer of trainers’ in the combined course ‘Child Growth Assessment and Infant & Young Child Feeding Counselling’.
