Born, brought up and Educated in India and lived in this country since 1971. Worked as Medical Practice Administrator/ Manager for 35 years. As a practice manager, I pursued my keen interest in health issues and developed many special projects within General Practice to benefit the patients.

One of the founder member of the DWA ( Doctors Wives Association) who fought for parity for the related staff in General Practice from 1984-1990, and the law was changed. Member of Waltham Forest Faith Communities Forum. One of the Founder member of Waltham Forest Women’s Network (2004) -As WFWN member I see my role to support Social Networking and connect with women of diverse communities of Waltham Forest.

Founder of two local interfaith organisations. - Forest Women’s Interfaith Network and  Faith Friendship Club ( A partnership between local temple and neighbouring church - to develop (Faith and Cultural Understanding ) between two communities. In 2018, I was awarded as Inspirational Individual by The London Faith & Belief Forum. and following that attended a special reception hosted by Her Majesty The Queen for Interfaith work.

I have passion for community cohesion, bringing people of different Faith and communities together for the peace and harmony in the community. I most enjoy my work with my two networks - 1. Forest Women”s Interfaith Network , 2. Faith Friendship Club ( A close working group working with the temple and A local Church) based at Sanatan Hindu Temple in Waltham Forest.

I have developed A core group of mainly 50+ group in the temple who are interested in social interaction for physical and general well being, where we organise many activities related to creative and Performing Art. In 2019 been involved with Near Neighbourhood project “Real People Honest Talk” to bring two different Faith Communities together and hoping to do some Inter generational work together. During Covid-19 Pandemic, I joined A local group, involve in making scrubs, wash-bags and masks for London Hospitals and Care homes.
