Refugees and The Homeless: Real Stories

Do you have an interest in the lives and realities of those who inhabit the streets of Manchester without a home to call their own? Are you curious about the journeys undertaken by refugees and asylum seekers to find safety and security for themselves and their loved ones? Do you wish you could know more, and do more to help?

Students at the Global Health Society are organising an event on Refugees and the Homeless on Tuesday 16 February 18:30 – 20:00, placing a magnifying glass upon these current and pressing issues, and exploring real stories with our guest speakers and People’s Panel. Guest speakers will be:

Gulwali Passarlay, Author of the Lightless Sky, TEDx speaker and current student at The University of Manchester.

Haider Khokhar, Entrepreneur, recent University of Manchester Alumnus and Managing Director of a tech start up.
