On Wednesday 23 November 2016 the Manchester-based Global Oral Health Forum DentMan will hold its annual conference. In line with DentMan mission of facilitating the exchange of global oral health volunteering knowledge and share experiences to inspire future volunteers, this year’s topic is ‘Volunteering and Intercultural Interactive Skill Development‘.
The conference will be chaired by Prof. Paul Coulthard, Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Manchester as well as Honorary Consultant and Clinical Lead for Oral Surgery at the Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Speakers will include representatives from pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline, the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute of the University of Manchester, the Manchester Global Foundation, as well as students who have been on electives in low- and middle-income countries. The conference will take place at the Chemistry Lecture Theatre (G51) of the University of Manchester from 1:30 pm to 5:00pm on 23 November 2016.
